What (or who) is a Flandrien?
Originally a nickname given to the Flemish track cyclists who were the great showmen at the Six-Day Races in the USA in the 1910s and 1920s, often announced as "the blokes who eat raw meat", today a Flandrien is a cyclist with an undiluted attacking instinct, a cyclist who rides through all conditions and never hangs their head.
