Handmade leather Peach keyring + token / coin holder by Herr PONG Berlin

The peach.  We all know that in popular culture it's not as innocent as it seems...  And that is what Jay at Herr PONG wanted to play with with this design.

He was initially inspired by a rather famous scene in 2017's Call Me By Your Name, a film he regards as very beautiful.  

But then his mind was drawn to his own cultural background, where  桃 Peach is a symbol of longevity and immortality in Chinese mythology, it's often an object being used in Chinese art and fable. There was a fable about a Chinese Duke who fell in love with a male courtier. There was a scene the courtier bit into an especially delicious peach and gave the remainder to the Duke as a gift so he could taste it as well. The phrase "分桃 Bitten peach" became a byword for homosexuality.

Further research came up with the observation that according to Emojipedia, only 7% of tweets using the 🍑 peach emoji are about the fruit. The rest are for other purposes...😏

After all the interesting associations, he got the idea of making a cute and sexy Momo Peach which you can store a 1€ or 2€ coin for the supermarket cart or swimming pool lockers. 

And ponder the eternal evolution of the English language whenever you use it!
